Easy beer bread

Fresh bread

Every time I can find an easier version of something I already enjoy making or marries alcohol and food, I’m all in. This recipe has both!

Already a fan of baking bread, I love this quick and easy beer bread. It’s not the most complex bread I make, but it is a very good bread, especially for the simplicity. No kneading or waiting for it to rise, I whip this up when I already have my oven on and want some bread.

Bread is one of those things I rarely buy, because it seems to have a lot of added ingredients. So when I want something quick, this really hits the spot.

Beer bread

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces dark beer

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix in the beer until it’s all doughy.
  4. Spread the dough into a greased pan.
  5. Bake for one hour.
